New Weather Closing Policy

posted Jan 25, 2014, 6:48 AM by Alise McGregor

Following Wayzata School District's weather-related closures has worked very well over the past few years.  The month of January has been a very cold one; but we understand our parents need to work and therefore we cannot continue to  follow Wayzata’s closures due to wind-chill moving forward.  We did not want to take on an independent closure policy, but after frequent school closures by the Wayzata School District this winter, we will be.  Weather-related closure decisions will be made by the discretion of LNN management and an email will be sent out to all parents.  Also, our Facebook page and LNN website will be updated.  If you prefer we contact you in a different manner, please let us know. Our parent handbook (which you can view on this website) has been updated with this new policy.

At Lil Newton's Nest, we are all preparing this next week for our graduation.  This year we have 39 graduates! We are so excited for them to continue on their journey of education. Our LNN graduates have the drive to learn, an exceptionally strong educational background and the foundation of foreign languages to bring to the next phase of their education.  "Oh the places they will go!"
Graduation will be held at 4pm in our gym on May 31st.  We will have a slideshow, performances from the graduating classes and refreshments.
